Chem-Dry of the Kawarthas and Durham is based out of Lindsay and has been servicing all of Kawarthas and Durham regions (Lindsay, Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Peterborough, Lakefield, Oshawa, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Bowmanville, Newcastle, Port Perry, Uxbridge and surrounding areas) since 1994. In mid 2017 the founders, Shawn and Leslie Barrett handed over the reigns of this award winning cleaning franchises to Brad MacKay and Gerrit Van Halteren – two seasoned Chem-Dry technicians with a passion for delivering the very best cleaning and amazing customer service to all their clientele.

Hi, my name is Bradley Mackay
In 2013 my wife and I found out we were going to be parents, so finding a great job that myself and my new family could depend on was very important. In 2014 I found exactly that when I became an employee at Chem-Dry of the Kawartha’s. I quickly realized what a wholesome and rewarding company it was, providing customers with reliable, quality service. It wasn’t long before I wanted to further my career with Chem-Dry. I have always known one day I wanted to work for myself, and taking over such a well established, successful company that puts customer satisfaction and excellent service seemed like a very smart choice.
In 2016 my partner and I began the process of becoming owners. We have learned many valuable lessons over this process and I look forward to the opportunities and challenge that being an owner brings. If I’m not working, I am usually spending time with my wife and our two young sons. But when I’m not chasing around my 1 and 3 year old, I enjoy working on vehicles, and doing target practice with my friends.
Hey there I’m Gerrit Van Halteren.
A little bit about me… I have always been known as a hardworking, enthusiastic, and a friendly person. Growing up in Lindsay Ontario watching my family run, own, and operate their own music store from an early age gave me the drive to want to be a entrepreneur and inspired my passion for family and music.
After working for Chem-Dry of the Kawartha’s for several years I knew I had found a product and service I could stand behind 100%. When the opportunity arose I did not hesitate to take over this well established business with my good friend and co-worker Bradley Mackay
